Governing Body information

Welcome to Pipworth's Governance section.

Governors visit the school regularly, not only for meetings, but to see the typical running of the school. Governors are also encouraged to attend: INSET days, pupil progress meetings, subject deep dives, attendance strategy meetings, school performances, subject 'book looks', pupil interviews and subject reviews.

Across the year, governors also attend two enquiry days. The focus for each enquiry day is agreed in advance at the Autumn full Governing Body meeting. They may be triggered by: data, outcomes from work scrutinies, , conversations with staff, subject reviews or information from the Headteacher's Report.

Governors are also linked to curriculum subjects, as well as general areas such as attendance, safeguarding or health and safety. Governors regularly report back to full Governing Body meetings about their specific subjects and areas.
